Walter Sylvester, Jr.

Walter Sylvester, Jr. passed away at his residence on Monday, January 21, 2019 at the age of 68.  He was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Bridge City, LA.  Beloved husband of Betty Lou Sylvester.  Loving father of Vanessa Sylvester, Joann (Gregory) Jordan, Tiffany (the late Alonzo) Odoms, Chameka (Marcus) Hayes, Shante Sylvester, Walter III (Tanya), Michael (Sharon), Jamal, Janaro (Centrelle), and Jarrell Sylvester, Terrance (Monique), and Damaris (Mercedee) Jackson, Shaquille, Tamayo and Jabari Sylvester Tucker, and the late Keeva Sylvester.  Adopted father of Nicole Sylvester.  Son of the late Walter Sylvester, Sr. and Gertrude Sylvester.  Brother of Nora (Reginald) Richardson, Geraldine (Glen) West, Mildred (the late Carline) Davis, Earline (James) Crawford, Beverly (the late Gregory) Williams, James (Charlene), Leroy (Jackie), and Joseph (Sheriletha) Sylvester; also survived by 32 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also pastors, officers, and members of Household of Faith Church and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Funeral Service at Household of Faith Church, 2074 Paxton Street Harvey, LA on Saturday, January 26, 2019 at 10:00a.m. Pastor Antoine M.
