Eldridge Mitchell

Eldridge “Slim” Mitchell, a custodian at K.F.C., and a football coach for Jefferson Parish Department of Parks and Recreations, departed this life at his residence on Tuesday, January 15, 2019 at the age of 59. He was a native of New Orleans, La, a former resident Westwego, La., and presently residing in Marrero, La.  Devoted father of Reanna Ellis-Joseph (Renard) of Canton, Ga., Demargus T. Ellis of Marrero, La., Darrell Ellis (Tameka) of Harvey, La., and Dr. Cardell C. Ellis (Dominique) of Atlanta, Ga. Son of Elenora Clinton (Joseph) and the late James Price. Grandson of the late Onita and Edward Mitchell Sr., Isabella and James Price Sr. Brother of Sheila Griffin. Godfather of Lekeitha Mitchell. Eldridge is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 2 nieces, 1 nephew, and a host of other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral service at DAVIS MORTUARY SERVICE, 6820 WESTBANK EXPRESSWAY MARRERO, LA on Saturday January 26, 2019 at 10:00a.m., Pastor Seryan Williams- officiating, Visitation will begin at 8:00 a.m. until service time at the above named parlor.
