Palmyra Vasquez

Palmyra Vasquez entered into eternal rest on Sunday, January 20, 2019 at 4:30 a.m. at the age of 72. She was a native and resident of New Orleans, LA. She was a graduate of Walter L. Cohen and Southern University New Orleans. Beloved wife of Albert Vasquez, Sr. Devoted mother of Albert “Poppy” (Korean) Vasquez, Jr., Christopher ( Priscilla) Vasquez  Sr. and Pamela Vasquez. Daughter of the late Shirley Forcell and Jack  Edwards Sr. Stepdaughter of the late Edwina Edwards.  Sister of Marilyn Wooding of Harrisburg, PA, Carolyn Vidato, Jacqueline Montgomery, Paulette ( Kevin Sr. ) Brown, Loretta Bains, Noreen (David Sr.) Vigne,  Jamell Forcell, Sheryl Sheryl Bridgewater,  Samuel(Irma) Bolds, Jack Edward, Jr. Kevin Edwards and Donna Forcell.  Grandmother of Albert III, Samyra, Christopher Jr. and Chad Vasquez, Aquila Hall and Shawn Galmore Jr. Sister-in-law of Vicenta Bocage; also survived by a host of other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of family are invited to attend the Funeral Services at DAVIS MORTUARY SERVICE 230 MONROE ST. GRETNA, LA on Saturday, January 26, 2019 at 12:30 p.m. Rev. Samuel Travis, officiating. Visitation will begin at 12:00 p.m. until service time at the above named parlor.
