Lionel Jay Williams

Lionel Jay Williams departed this life on Wednesday, January 23, 2019 at his residence at the age of 53.  He was a native and resident of Marrero, LA.  Lionel was employed as a cement layer with Durr Construction.  Husband of Essie Williams. Loving father of Lionel (Mouna) and Jonathan Griffin, Morgan Williams, Monique and Marcus Allen, Monica and Myron Dews.  Beloved son of Josephine Williams and the late Jimmy Williams, Sr. Grandson of the late John and Josephine Black, Anna and Albert Williams. Brother of Remonia (Rocky) Smith, Grace Williams, Linda Williams, and the late Jim Williams, Jr. He was preceded in death by 9 aunts and 6 uncles.  Lionel is also survived by 5 grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family and employees of Durr Construction, Kass Brothers Construction, and Boh Brothers are invited to attend the Funeral Service at DAVIS MORTUARY SERVICE, 230 MONROE ST. GRETNA, LA on Saturday, February 2, 2019 at 10:00a.m. Visitation will begin at 8:30a.m. until service time at the above named parlor.
