Lee Roy Sorells, Sr.

Lee Roy “Pine” Sorells, Sr. entered into eternal rest on Sunday, February 3, 2019 at the age of 62. He was a native of Carlisle, MS, a resident of in Marrero, LA for over 55 years, and presently residing in Avondale, LA.  Lee was a 1975 graduate of West Jefferson High School.  Loving husband of Janice Sorells.  Devoted father of Lee Roy Sorells, Jr. and Jamal Sorells (fiance’ Stannisha Jackson).  Grandfather of La’maj Sorells.  Beloved son of Nora Lee Sorells and the late Cable Lee Sorells, Sr.  Brother of Cable Sorells, Jr., Joe (Andrea) Sorells, Bennie (Kenna) Sorells, Sr., Edward (Denise) Sorells, and Joann (Lynell) Lamark. Son-in-law of the late Benoris, Sr. and Yvonne Brignac; also survived by a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also priest and parishioners of St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church and all neighboring churches are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church, 455 Ames Blvd, Marrero, LA on Saturday, February 9, 2019 at 10:00a.m.  Father Eugene Jacques, celebrant  Visitation will begin at 8:00a.m. until service time at the above named church.  Interment: Restlawn Park Cemetery-Avondale, LA  Arrangements by Davis Mortuary Service 230 Monroe St. Gretna, LA
